As our Surfacing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Divisional and Department Managers with a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Reviewing and assisting survey levels on site
Scoping forward works and resourcing in conjunction with the Supervisor
Overviewing QA and assisting as needed
Assisting with the pricing of work and tender preparation
Organising and forward ordering of: subcontractors, materials, plant and people
Ensuring all work is bought to charge, and measuring works in progress
In addition to the above you will:
Ensure appropriate QA records are kept allowing the effective management of contracts
Ensure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations
Ensure contracts are completed to consultant standards, within time and budget

We're looking for someone with:
Bachelors/Diploma in Civil Engineering
1 to 3 Years relevant surfacing experience
Understanding of job pricing including materials, labour and plant and their associated margins/profit calculations
Aware of NZTA specifications
Creating, Connecting and Caring for the Community
