Listed 4 days Ago Auckland City Mission Non-profit - Social Services Supportive Housing Manager About the role Lead the development and delivery of Auckland City Mission's HomeGround Apartments. HomeGround Apartments are Auckland City Mission's collaborative approach to end homelessness. We establish relationships and pathways that make housing a real option for individuals and whanau who are homeless in Auckland. HomeGround Apartments follow a strengths-based approach to work alongside people with a focus on recovery and wellbeing. This role will be responsible for the operation and leadership of the workstreams providing services under the HomeGround Apartments umbrella. Duties Collaborate with the leadership of the organisation including role modelling a culture that embeds the Mission's values of Manaakitanga, Atawhai, Rangapu and Manatika/Mana Orite and demonstrates through actions commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Provide support to the team to ensure effective clinical and cultural processes and practices are followed to support the delivery of services to people with complex needs. Develop the HomeGround Apartments purpose, vision and linked to the Mission's strategy, to ensure everyone understands their role in achieving its goals and objectives and their alignment to the wider organisation. Advocate for the Mission and the people it serves, promoting its beliefs and raising social issues learned through working with people in desperate need. Develop key relationships to broaden the Mission's connections by proactively engaging and fostering trusted partnerships with iwi, government and non-government organisations, interests and community groups. Skills Bachelor's Degree in relevant field OR Significant, proven experience working in the sector with a focus on intensive client engagement and case management for homelessness, mental health and addiction and residential care. Understanding of complex cultural, social and economic factors that contribute to homelessness. Experience working with or implementing housing first and trauma informed principles. Excellent team building, collaboration and partnering skills, with aptitude for getting things done through both formal and informal channels. Full clean NZ Drivers Licence / on call as per roster.
