Our East Coast team is made up of over 220 staff and 100 volunteers across our services, which include Enliven and Family Works, and two charity shops.Enliven Disability Services work alongside young people under 65 living with a disability. We are passionate about supporting disabled people on their journey to imagine, create and live a full life. You will be part of a team working to make a difference in your local community.We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our disability support services team for the Wake Over Night Support, from 11:00 pm to 07:00 am.You will join a team of dedicated people to support five of our flatters living at our service in Taradale, Napier who have physical disabilities. You will need to be passionate about Disability Support and preferably have experience in the sector and have a certificate or diploma in Health and Well-being or be willing to work towards this. We will support you in this space. You will need to commit to familiarising yourself with the New Zealand Disability Strategy and the Enabling Good Lives Principles, which underpin and predicate our practice at Enliven Disability.You will provide nighttime support to our flatters in their home and comply with tasks that need to be done before the Morning Shift arrives. If needed, you must be prepared to provide personal care and be willing to participate in further training and education sessions to upskill, which we are passionate about.You will be working in pairs, but you will also need to be prepared to work alone if needed.Hours are 11.00 pm to 7:00 amSalary Between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour depending on Qualification + $15 Night per shift allowance.You will:Deliver support in line with each person's individualised care plan.Be trained to use a hoist safely and effectively.Support with personal care and administration of medicine.Be able to travel for out-of-town meetings or activities.Complete household tasks including cleaning and cooking.Keep accurate records of the support provided.Support to maintain a safe, clean, and functional home environment.Knowledge and experience desirable but not essential; training will be given.Successful applicants must be patient, have a passion to support people with disabilities, a desire to see people reach their potential, and an ability to see each person as an individual, with unique needs and abilities.
