Mo te turanga | About the Role
Mana Service is located at Hohepa's Hapori campus in Somerfield and has two new roles available. Mana Service provides dedicated care and support to a man named Marcus who is in his 40s. Marcus is a fun, extroverted man who loves a great joke, cooking his own meals, and rugby. As a single-staffed service, we are seeking compassionate individuals with essential caregiving or equivalent experience.
You will be energetic, empathetic, and able to work alongside this person, focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem-solve, and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people's ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.
This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and depends on qualification level, paying between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

Sunday to Tuesday 7am to 3pm
Wednesday 3pm to 10pm, 10pm to 7am (Sleepover)
Hands-on hours: 62 Sleepover hours: 18
Total Hours per fortnight: 80
Position 2:
Wednesday to Saturday 7am to 3pm
Total Hours per fortnight: 56
