Support Worker - full time - Kapiti area - opportunities available across the Levin, Otaki and Paraparaumu areas65 hours per fortnight (extra shifts available if you want them!)You must be able to work a full range of differing shifts - mornings, afternoons, wakeover night shifts, sleepovers and some weekend shiftsEarn while you learn, gain nationally recognised qualifications!Mo te tunga | About the role The role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. This includes tasks like helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, Support Workers may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
