Mo te turanga | About the Role Kairos Service is based in Westmorland and is home to four young men in their 20s. We are looking for an energetic and committed Support Worker who is keen to help the four young men engage with their community through activities like day trips, connecting with friends, pursuing job opportunities, and biking adventures. We are looking for a Support Worker who can bring energy and enthusiasm to this role while maintaining clear boundaries. A passion for biking, cars, and community engagement is essential to inspire these young men and help them thrive!
You will be energetic, empathetic, and able to work alongside this person, focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve, and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and depends on qualification level, paying between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.
