Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development) HealthCare NZ is a leading provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. We are looking for energetic and motivated people to support people in their own home.We are looking for Support Workers to work in Hastings, Napier.What does a Specialist Support Worker do?You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support.Responsibilities can vary, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:Meal preparationCommunity outings and integrationGiving medicationPersonal cares (showering, toileting etc.)Bowel management stage 3, Manual Handling and Hoist transfersHome managementWhat do you get?Earn competitive pay rates between $23.38 up to $29.10 per hourVariety of shiftsEarn while you learn with free training towards NZQA Health and WellbeingWork phone, along with other benefits i.e. discounted Southern Cross health insuranceJob security with guaranteed hours and travel allowanceEmployee Assistance Program service anytime you need health and wellbeing supportWhat are we looking for?Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do!Previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, although not essentialExcellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternative weekends.Healthcare qualifications are advantageousMost positions require a full NZ driver's licence and your own reliable transportIf you are passionate about supporting people, then maybe there is a role for you here.
