This is a fixed-term role, working 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday 8.00am – 4.30pm until July 2025.
In this role you will:
Support people in a mental health respite setting, working individually and as part of a team.
Have good people skills and be able to work independently and within a wider team.
Support people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
Attend appointments and advocate for people.
Assist people to connect with their communities.
Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks.
Applicants must hold the Level 4 in Mental Health and Wellbeing Certificate, Psychology, education, sport and nutrition (preferred).
You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
