Te Whanau o Waipareira Trust is seeking a dynamic Kaiarahi to join our kaupapa on a fixed-term, full-time basis, driving change for our whanau and communities.About the RoleAs the Kaiarahi (Innovation), you will team up with whanau to identify community trends, spark fresh ideas, and implement creative solutions that support collective wellbeing. You will help bridge the gap between whanau aspirations and impactful community outcomes, fostering relationships and coordinating exciting community events (like Shark Tank-style competitions), to nurture local creativity and promote entrepreneurship! The Kaiarahi will also:Ensure projects are responsive to the needs of Maori and Pacific communities, celebrating identity, language, and culture.Help whanau navigate wraparound services and manage referrals.Mitigate project risks and maintain accurate reporting.Your Skills & ExperienceWe consider a broad range of technical skills and lived experiences. Ideal candidates will showcase the following competencies:Experience working in an innovative community space.Familiar with proposal writing and funding applications.Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Demonstrated knowledge of local community networks.Full NZ Drivers License is essential for local travel.Te Whanau o Waipareira is a non-government organisation, operating locally in the heart of West Auckland.
