HealthCare NZ is a leading provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. Our aim is to support people to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible and to maintain their independence regardless of age, injury, illness or disability.With Christmas around the corner, we are currently seeking enthusiastic Casual Support Workers to join our team for the festive period.To be considered for this role, you must be able to commit to at least 4 days per week, with one day being a weekend day. You will also need to be able to work through both the Christmas and New Year's period.November - February casual workWhat does a Support Worker do?You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can vary, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:Community outings and integrationGiving medicationPersonal cares (showering, toileting etc.)What do you get?· Earn competitive pay rates between $23.38 up to $29.10 per hour· Variety of shifts· Great opportunity to earn experience and some extra money for Xmas.What are we looking for?Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do!Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable, although not essentialFlexibility to work weekends.Full driver's license and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)If you are passionate about supporting people, then maybe there is a role for you here.
