The Support Officer role is diverse, giving you the opportunity to experience first-hand the day-to-day activities of the operations teams and get a feel for what conservation in the Southern South Island looks like!You will be responsible for supporting up to four Operations Managers, with day-to-day activities.
You will have an interest in the mahi that is undertaken by DOC and proactively follow up where actions/inactions impact the Operations Managers' ability to meet their duties.
You will need to be a smart, tech-savvy operator with strong prioritisation, warm communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people to ensure the Operations Managers are successful in their roles.Key responsibilities include:Providing administrative support including diary and email management, planning and event management.Preparing documentation including presentations, task assignments, reports, and briefings.Managing and meeting competing deadlines.Establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders externally and within DOC.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceWith your diligence and strong sense of initiative you will have the ability to become a partner working alongside your Operations Managers to support the smooth running of their office.
You will have a vibrant personality that enjoys engaging with people and be able to do this in a remote working environment.
It goes without saying that you have the agility to grasp new systems, work with existing processes and suggest and improve workflows when required.
