Developers/Programmers (Information & Communication Technology)As a Support Developer at Effect, you will play a key role in keeping our clients' websites running smoothly. You will handle technical issues, assist with upgrades, integrations, and minor feature additions. This role ensures high-quality service and uptime for all managed sites.When this job is being done well our clients' support requests are being turned around in a timely manner and websites are patched with the latest updates. We have a robust Azure infrastructure in place, with support readily available for developers as needed.What you'll be doingProvide support to clientsEnsure our clients' requests are actioned in a timely manner. You must be able to self-manage and provide updates to our clients on progress and seek clarification on tickets.Patching and maintenanceEnsure all our clients' websites are patched with the latest Umbraco release and other security patches as required.Manage our Azure environmentsWork closely with our CISO and wider Development team to ensure our Azure environment is correctly set up, maintained, and development is supported with new environments and resources when required.Monitoring and alertingEnsure we're actively monitoring and triaging alerts that have been received.A day in the life of this role:Review alerts and logging received overnight and log anything that needs attention.Review open tickets in Jira Service Management (JSM).Action tickets in JSM.Setup new Azure test environments for new projects.Update client website with the latest Umbraco patch.What we're looking forTechnical skills:Proficiency in Umbraco CMS and ASP.NET.Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).Familiarity with Azure services such as App Service, Database, Azure Blob Storage, Front Door, and Azure Functions.Understanding of resource groups and subscriptions.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.Experience:At least 2 years working on web development or support projects.Exposure to hosting environments and deployment pipelines.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Clear and concise communication, especially when liaising with clients.Working closely with the wider Effect team, specifically our Delivery Lead, Design Lead, and other Developers.What we offerAt Effect, we believe in providing our employees with a supportive and enriching work environment.
