About the Role We are seeking dedicated Support and Youth Workers to join our frontline services team, on a full time basis. The Support Workers have a crucial role in providing support to mothers and their babies, as well as their whanau, to understand their individual needs and provide integrated support. While the Youth Workers will build and maintain connections with young wahine, whose educational needs have been impacted by social or health-related factors. Your goal will be to build trust, ensure access to the right services, and support whanau in achieving their desired outcomes through our Whanau Ora practice model. You will have direct interaction with whanau in person, and actively advocate for them with various government agencies to ensure they receive their entitlements and rights. Building a high level of trust through whanaungatanga is key to ensuring access to the right support services at the right time. Your Skills & Experience
Strong commitment to Te Reo me nga Tikanga Maori.
2+ years of experience providing whanau centered support.
Relevant Whanau Ora, Health, Social Science or Humanities qualification.
Knowledge of Ministry for Children and Family Court processes, procedures, and legislation is desirable.
Familiar with Whanau Ora principles and the outcomes framework.
A Full NZ Drivers' License and willingness to travel as required.
Hours of Work We have various full time shifts available for this position:
Morning Shift - 6:00am till 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift - 2:00pm till 10:30pm
Night Shift - 10:00pm till 6:30am
