About the Role | Mo te Turanga In Supply Planning, we are responsible for supplier management and effective distribution centre purchasing for internationally and locally-sourced products, ensuring optimised inventory levels whilst delivering positive service outcomes for our stores and customers. Our team is made up of Woolworths NZ Supply Planner's and Integrated Supply Planners.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Supply Planning Manager to be responsible for managing an efficient supply chain of long life products from supplier to store within the grocery department. You will do this by understanding and improving the way we work. 
Key responsibilities include
Review targets and metrics and be at the centre of preparation and execution for key selling periods to include Christmas & Easter 
Develop, maintain and improve reporting/KPI mechanisms to provide useful information to the team with the purpose of giving clear results for improved performance. 
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, with the goal of further reducing costs, improving service levels, reducing DSOH and improving freshness of product. 
Be customer centric and develop a customer focused replenishment plan 
Execution of logistics projects in conjunction with the logistics project team 
To lead in the smooth preparation, execution and exiting of seasonal selling events (eg: Christmas, Easter) 
Lead and/or be an integral part of ongoing and ad hoc Buying projects that improve outcomes for customers 
Ensure range is easy to shop, holds the right stock weight, has appropriate DOS holding and utilising the most effective fixture mechanics
About You | Mou
You are a strong communicator and planner in every sense, able to influence and negotiate at all levels internally and externally to build partnerships across the Woolworths group and with our Supply Partners.
You have a sound understanding of various Replenishment ecosystems and can determine which solutions best suit the desired outcome and a proven record of project/change management implementation. Additonally, you will need to foster a Customer First culture, leading by example according to our core Values and Ways of Working. 
Desirable attributes, knowledge and experience will include: 
Experience in Supply Chain Operations (DC, Replenishment, and Forecasting)
Experience in FMCG/Retail or other fast moving goods environment
3+ years of management experience in leading a team
Proven record of project and change management implementation
Strong communication skills and ability to influence multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups 
Knowledge of supply and/or demand planning methods and systems eg JDA, SAP or other software related to Supply Chain Planning 
Experience of Microsoft and Google applications, working with database front ends and deriving reports and presentations
