This role will suit a motivated candidate who wants to step up into the next stage of their career and take on leadership responsibilities while maintaining a hands-on aspect to their role.You will have the opportunity to:Secure high-quality products which meet stringent technical and compliance requirements at the best prices through strategic sourcing and negotiation.Build strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee consistent supply.Oversee and improve inventory management systems and processes, including partnering with Finance and IT on the development of our ERP.Collaborate with Projects, Sales, and Engineering to deliver high-value and complex engineering projects.Lead and develop a small Supply Chain team including procurement, inwards goods, and inventory management.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you should have:Strong proven experience in the procurement of engineering equipment with a high level of technical complexity and/or compliance requirements.Wide experience or exposure across the entire supply chain function, including purchasing, forecasting, contract negotiation, logistics, and risk management.Leadership capability gained either as a senior mentoring juniors, or in a team lead / line management position.Demonstrated ability to review and continuously improve processes for efficiency and scale.INTERVIEW PROCESSThe interview process will be three stages.
