Overview: The Supply and Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution of all goods and supplies.
This role ensures that products are delivered to clients in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize wastage and ensure product freshness.
Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate and oversee the logistics and distribution operations, including warehousing, transportation, and delivery.
Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
Quality Control: Ensure all food supplies and ingredients meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the supply chain.
Customer Service: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand client needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to supply and distribution promptly and effectively.
Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including cost of goods sold, transportation costs, and inventory turnover.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain/procurement management, logistics, or distribution, preferably within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
