IST Supplier Relationship Manager 2 x new Permanent, full-time roles

Resulting from the recent MSD Change Process, we have two newly created roles for IST supplier management professionals.
MSD is looking to uplift its supplier management capability and maturity. As one of our new IST Supplier Relationship Managers, you will lead key commercial engagements with our suppliers and support the design and implementation of best practice commercial management across significant contracts, projects, and programmes.
About the Role Reporting to our GM Technology Supplier Relationships, you will provide commercial oversight and direction, and guide complex negotiations while ensuring alignment with MSD's values and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include relationship management, stakeholder management, supplier governance, commercial direction, risk management, and supporting the uplift required to embed good commercial practices and ongoing operational efficiency across our IST ecosystem.
About You We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinker, a natural influencer with commercial acumen who can deliver and manage large scale, multi-faceted ICT contracts.
You will be eager to use your expertise to enable predictability, reliability, transparency, and accountability in implementing contracting and procurement strategies.
We want to hear from you if you have: Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with a high level of expertise in managing diverse internal and external relationships
Significant experience constructing and negotiating complex, high-value ICT contracts
Qualification in Commercial, Law or equivalent work experience
Experience in both public sector and a private context, with a working knowledge of New Zealand Government procurement policy and DIA digital policy and processes
Experience leading the commercial aspects of large-scale IT Projects, Programmes, or Transformation
Ability to coach and mentor others in good commercial and contract management
Strong stakeholder management coupled with robust negotiation skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture
Salary range: Starting salary will be circa $160k - $180k per annum.
