The salary range for this position is $79,656 to $100,639.
Full time, 24-month fixed term opportunity based from Gisborne or Wairoa.

He angitutanga | About the role This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage teams within special projects across the East Coast district, ensuring the successful operational delivery of key visitor experiences.
Your focus will be split between two exciting projects: the Morere Hot Springs and the Waikaremoana Holiday Park.
As the role progresses, your project responsibilities may evolve, guided by the Operations Manager.
You will join the District Leadership Team and work closely with Senior Rangers to provide advice to the Operations Manager on the district work program.
You will play a crucial part in overseeing facility management, budgeting, health and safety leadership, and collaborating with Treaty partners to align project goals with local aspirations.
You will also lead a team, providing mentorship, managing work assignments, and fostering an inclusive and high-performing work culture.
In this role, you will build and maintain important relationships with local whanau, hapu, iwi, community partners, and statutory bodies, ensuring that project outcomes align with local and regional needs.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you: Demonstrated leadership experience, with a focus on managing teams and fostering a positive work culture.
Great time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects, particularly in facility management or operational environments.
Experience with budgeting, procurement, and health and safety leadership.
A collaborative approach, with excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including local councils, businesses, and community agencies.
Confidence in engaging with whanau, hapu, and iwi, with a commitment to supporting Treaty principles and aspirations.
A willingness to engage in Maori cultural settings and learn te reo and tikanga to build productive partnerships.
A current full New Zealand driver licence.

The salary range for this position is $79,656 to $100,639 with the starting salary of the successful applicant based on their relevant skills and experience.
