Quality Supervisor Reports to: Quality Systems Manager
Position Location: Christchurch, New Zealand

You'll join a friendly and dynamic team that supports our customers in the development of life changing drugs & vaccines. This is a leadership role, which involves leading a small team of quality control laboratory technicians and quality assurance officers, to effectively complete the day to day quality control testing, quality assurance processes, and compliance activities at the Christchurch manufacturing site.
What you will do: Provide leadership for the day-to-day quality activities.Be customer focussed and adaptable by direct interaction with customers and/or regulatory agencies during audits.Provide technical and scientific leadership for raw material, finished product and in-process testing.Ensure compliance to the established quality system (application of the principles of ISO 9001 and cGMP) is maintained.Lead, supervise, coach, and develop staff within a dynamic team environment.Co-ordinate, approve and maintain Thermo Fisher Scientific Quality documentation such as SOP's and standard forms.Lead site quality functions including deviation management, non-conforming material management, CAPA, root cause analysis, Batch record review and release, internal audits, regulatory audits and change management.Schedule and support QC testing, environmental monitoring, maintenance and calibration. A Tertiary Science qualification, preferably in biology, biochemistry, chemistry and / or similar field of study is a requirement.
Experience: Experience working in a GMP/ISO 9001 environment in a QA, QC or related role.Knowledge base in quality control laboratory methods, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards including ISO9001 and general GMP requirements.Demonstrated ability in QA, QC or a related field (5 or more years). Other Job Requirements: Experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical devices or food industries.Proven leadership, team building and team participation skills.Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, quality and inventory systems.Proven ability to thrive positively in a busy environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Skilled at multitasking, prioritization and communication.
