: Leadership
Maintain alignment with the co-supervisor of BMU in the coordination of workload and workflow across multiple production areas including cleanroom operations, freeze drying, UVC and other specialty products processing. Lead the team in completion of planned tasks and activities, including shift work and 24/5 production as required. Act as delegate to the Manufacturing Manager and co-supervisor as required. Lead and be accountable for BMU production deliverables and objectives. Maintain a strong focus on improving health and safety outcomes for our teams. Enhance the overall customer experience by maintaining service and delivery levels and promoting a right first time culture while maintaining an efficient and safe manufacturing environment. On-going development of the manufacturing team through coaching and skills development to support achievement of objectives, personal development and change management. Be an SME for the BMU manufacturing facility supporting technical enquires and customer audits as required. Take a hands on and team approach to completion of required tasks and hold team members accountable for performance. Support and maintain compliance to ISO9001, regulatory requirements and applicable principals of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). Manufacturing
Support and contribute to our quality systems including change controls, deviations, customer audits and notifications, SOP and BMR updates. Develop, report and deliver on manufacturing metrics. Train others in manufacturing systems and documentation Champion and contribute to process improvement and PPI teams to advance customer allegiance, quality, cost, and productivity gains. Complete other activities that support maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and systems Champion our safety culture by ensuring employee accountability and that safe work practices, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) are adhered to. Conduct proactive hazard identification and report any accidents, incidents and near misses. Promote the use of hazard identifications within BMU. Working conditions: Works in an office area and in a production environment. May be required to lift up to 20kg on occasion. Able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials and be flexible around hours of work.
Frequent Contacts: Production planning and purchasing teams. Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams. Bioproduction teams. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary science qualification Experience working in a cGMP/ISO environment in a manufacturing role. Experience with and high level of understanding of ISO9001 quality systems and principles Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, quality and inventory systems Experience in people leadership and team development Experience and understanding of sterile filtration and aseptic (cleanroom) manufacturing processes, freeze drying, and biological's production preferred.
