Management - Store (Retail & Consumer Products) Full-time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week. Your ordinary hours of work will be rostered over 6 days a week, at times agreed between us to meet the needs of the business up to a maximum of 50 hours per week. Work availability must be flexible, ready to work any day anytime. The pay will range between $30 and $40 depending on qualifications and experience. Other benefits as per candidate's experience and skills. The Supermarket Manager will be responsible for the overall general management of the retail supermarket store, assisting with the general management and control of the operations skillfully and profitably with the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Tasks and Responsibilities: General organization of the store. Undertake all the duties of planning and organizing the operations of every department. Effective and efficient day-to-day running of the store. Develop and maintain the staff rosters. Customer service management and quality maintenance. Complaints handling and response and public relation management. Arrange and lead staff meetings as and when required. Attend phone calls and respond to customer enquiries. Ability to negotiate with suppliers. Maintain and enforce store rules, policies, and all regulations. Manage stock levels to maximize sales and ensure no stock outs and determine the mixing of products for achieving the sales targets. Manage and report the accounts of the store as per the requirements. Promote the goods in the store by putting the specials on and undertaking required advertising of the items. Provide regular financial analysis of the store's performance with a view to maximize profitability and ensure efficiency of staff and resources. Manage received stock accurately and maintain stock records. Responsible for in-store merchandising such as layouts, promotion, and displays. Do such other duties as the group head/Director may ask from time to time. Minimum Requirements: A proven oral and written command of the English language is required. 2-3 years of experience in a similar position for a supermarket in NZ. Forklift license (would be a plus).
