Are you a dedicated leader with a passion for retail?
SuperValue Bell Block is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Supermarket Manager to lead our team.
This is a full-time permanent position, working at least 30 hours per week.
Please note you will need to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
Responsibilities: Managing the entire operation of the supermarket and directly reporting to the director of the company.
Researching local market preference, determining product mix, stock levels and service standards to meet the local market needs.
Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies.
Setting prices and conducting margin, profit and cost analyses.
Promoting and advertising the store's goods.
Undertaking budgeting for the store, developing and implementing purchasing policies and authorizing expenditures and keeping appropriate records.
Managing stock and maintaining records of stock levels.
Directing, supervising and overseeing sales operation, counter service and customer service/work flow.
Monitoring the market trends to determine to add or drop the product varieties.
Handling customer complaints, dealing with public relations.
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Requirements: At least 3 years work experience in supermarket management or similar role in retailing, or a relevant Diploma in business management/retail management/applied management.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
