Our NZSki community has been growing since 1947 and continues to offer the best experience for our crew, locals, and guests alike. This is a guest service role which will require you to greet your passengers at various locations in around our ski fields and transport them in a safe, friendly and informative manner to and from the base building and various pickup stops below Coronet Peak
About the role The Shuttle Drivers are responsible for transporting our guests from pickup points to the base area, and staff to and from work. Their duties include; Driving in a manner to maximise fuel efficiency and guest comfort. Safe and courteous driving practices at all times. Loading all mountain bikes for the guests to a safe and secure standard. Adherence to schedules/timetables. Respond to weather and road conditions. Deliver friendly and engaging service to all guests of NZSki. Proper management of customer complaints and queries. Clear, concise & timely two-way radio communications. Learning both Indoor and Outdoor Operations, as you may be obliged to work in these departments as and when is necessary About You To perform in this role effectively, you will need to exceed ourguestsexpectations with personable hosting and professional driving standards This job can often be physically demanding and requires a reasonable level of fitness Willing to assist in other departments and take on additional duties as required An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed The ideal applicant would be an active mountain biker and have an interest in developing new skills as our team members will be working across several tasks.This role requires a high level of energy, excellent teamwork skills, the ability to quickly build rapport with all guests and staff, and outstanding health and safety awareness. Skills and Qualifications At least a valid NZ driver's class 1 licence. A Passenger endorsement must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
