Skiers and boarders will depart Coronet Peak, and that's when our mountain bikers and hikers arrive. We aim to give them the best experience on our mountain!
This summer season, we are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable bike mechanic who will look after our rental fleet and provide repairs/services for customers at Coronet Peak.
About the role Perform regular maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet.Conduct inspections to ensure all bikes are working well and safe for use.Keep records of maintenance and repairs performed on each bike.Assist walk-in customers with bike rentals and provide recommendations based on their needs and skill levels.Assist walk-in customers with bike repairs and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and efficiently.Prepare bikes for pre-booked rentals.End of day cleaning and pack down.Learning both Indoor and Outdoor Operations as you may be obliged to work in these departments as and when necessary.About You High level of accountability for self, able to work independently and as part of a team.Strong customer service skills and an ability to interact and build rapport with a diverse range of customers.Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed.Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a bike mechanic or similar role.In-depth knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance.Further Information This role will commence in early December and run until April 2025.As Kaitiaki of the mountains, we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
