The BOPRC Harbourmaster Team are anticipating a busy summer on the water and are seeking four (4) Safer Boating Summer Assistants to aid in promoting safer boating throughout the rohe.
This is a part-time, fixed term opportunity from 11 December - 24 January 2025, and may suit school leavers/University students. Applicants must be able to work over the Christmas/New Year period.

Duties will include:
Promotion and Education of Safer Boating message to the community
Completing boat ramp education throughout the Bay of Plenty region
Assisting with research and compliance surveys at strategic locations across the Bay of Plenty
Delivering Safer Boating Resources around the region.

Ideal applicants will:
Have a great attitude
Be comfortable and confident speaking to the general public
Be willing and capable of working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Hold a Coastguard Boating Day Skipper certificate (or be willing to complete this as part of the role).
Be interested in a career in Maritime.
Applicants must be able to work over the Christmas/New Year period.
