Outline
We are partnering with our client the Law Commission, who have two short term hourly rate contract opportunities for analysts to support a submissions analysis process following a recent public consultation. These roles are for an eight-week period, starting on 2 September 2024. The contractors will work as part of an existing team to review and categorise submissions. The ideal candidate will have a legal, policy or justice sector background. Graduates with one to two years of post-degree work experience or a post-graduate qualification may also be considered.
Responsibilities: Contractors will primarily assist with reviewing and categorising submissions using analysis software, such as Nvivo.
They will need to be able to work efficiently and collaboratively alongside team members to digest and categorise submissions according to a framework developed by the team.
Depending on the number of submissions, contractors may also become involved in other tasks such as analysing and summarising submissions on particular policy issues.
Requirements: Strong analytical and organisational skills are essential.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team.
A legal, policy or similar background would be beneficial.
Knowledge or experience with data analysis software would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
Submissions analysis experience or similar would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience working on human rights or broader justice sector issues would be a plus.
This is an hourly rate contract that will start on 2 September for 8 weeks initially. Looking for candidates who can work full-time hours and be office-based in central Wellington.
