We have an opportunity available to join our studio operations team on a 12 month fixed-term and full-time basis.
Te Mahi – About the jobOur Operations team is responsible for the creation and delivery of content within our news and radio teams to the audiences of Aotearoa including through our radio brands: RNZ National, Concert, and Pacific along with our highly trusted News, podcasts, and a wide range of digital content for all New Zealanders.
This is a committed team, who work in a shift/roster pattern and who value their crucial contribution to RNZ's public service mandate highly.
We are looking for an experienced Studio Operator to support our hard-working team in RNZ's Wellington office.
The role offers a variety of work that includes operating studio equipment, ingesting content for web, as well as providing creative assistance to the overall production and presentation of radio and multimedia programmes.
This role is based on a rotational roster with shifts varying from week to week, including occasional work on weekends and public holidays.
To be successful in the role, you'll have:
A background in audio, preferably with a proven track record as a Studio Operator in live radio and audio engineering.Ideally advanced skills in audio production systems.Competence in multimedia production with excellent DAW editing skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to work alone and as a collaborative team member.If you are looking for an opportunity in radio studio operations and have good teamwork and organisational skills, we are keen to hear from you.
