As a Student Achievement Coach, you'll collaborate with internal support providers to help students, including international students, overcome personal and academic challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide pre-commencement coaching to ensure smooth transitions to university life.Build strong, supportive relationships with tauira and offer personalised advice.Use data and whakawhanaungatanga to identify students in need and provide proactive support.Develop holistic, wrap-around plans to support students' hauora and academic achievement.Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver integrated academic and pastoral care services.Take a Te Tiriti-led approach to support and empower students throughout their learning journey.What We're Looking For:A manaaki-centered individual driven by aroha.A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding of diversity and intersectionality.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.The ability to understand the overall hauora of tauira and the best ways to nourish it.Experience in whakawhanaungatanga and building strong partnerships, particularly with mana whenua.A focus on increasing student achievement, retention, and progression.Preferred but not essential:Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally at the master's level.Experience with te reo and tikanga Maori.Familiarity with New Zealand's tertiary education environment.Why Work at Massey?
