About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Wellington. You'll be working alongside an experienced team of engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in the detailed design and construction monitoring of these projects. This role will also see you involved in: Accurately analysing determinate and simple indeterminate structures without utilising commonly used analysis tools, software and protocols. Following established practices during the construction phase of a project so that the design is implemented efficiently and effectively. Preparing proposals for parts of assigned projects, or smaller projects for review by Project Team Leader/Project Director. Monitoring construction, responding to queries, and minimising the need for redesign. Identifying and communicating risks for prompt resolution. Monitor time for accurate project completion estimates. Recognising and communicating Professional Indemnity risks. Preparing correspondence for assigned projects. About You Experience working within the field of Structural engineering with 3+ years' experience is ideal along with a having completed a relevant bachelor's qualification in Engineering. You'll also have excellent communication skills and be creative and solutions focused. Seismic based design experience, along with software knowledge in ETABS and Microstran is also required.
