Position: Structural Design Engineer
Type: Full time
Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year depending on experience
We are seeking a capable Structural Design Engineer to join our Team.
CREATE is a multi-disciplinary design practice of Architects and Engineers, offering a wide spectrum of consultancy services to clients across New Zealand and Australia. We provide a range of design services including aquatics, modular buildings, commercial architecture, specialist facades, and geometric structures.
We take pride in delivering well-considered, vibrant, and sustainable design solutions that respond directly to a client brief. We add value by employing a balanced approach across all design disciplines to ensure aesthetics, performance, and budget are met.
Our team acts as lead consultants for a wide range of project types with full design services, through to providing tailored design services to meet specific client needs. For the right candidate, the position will provide a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, flexibility, and a great team atmosphere. You will also have the opportunity to work together on national profile projects.
We have a great opportunity for a highly competent and self-motivated engineer, with good communication skills, who is adaptable and is looking for a range of construction experience.

Aspects of the Structural Engineer role that we are seeking involve:
Required experience and skills:
Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in the structural engineering sector, preferably chartered professional (CPEng), or close to becoming chartered
Passion for structural engineering and innovative design
Proven experience in designing architecturally driven structures in steel, concrete, and timber
Good communicator with complimentary abilities in report writing and specifications
Applied 3D analysis and design
Proven understanding in seismic design of structural systems for commercial buildings up to 3 stories
Beneficial - experience in designing timber structures
Aptitude for continued learning
The relevant NZ Hons Degree or equivalent Washington Accord
