THE GIG: Our client is a structural engineering business focused on producing quality, innovative, cost-effective and efficient structural solutions for the residential construction industry.
They are a small team with a huge reach, with offices and factories across Christchurch, Auckland, and Palmerston North and nearly 20 years of operation under their belt.
Part of a wider group of construction businesses, this role will see you collaborate with their in-house architectural designers, steel fabricators and frame & truss manufacturers to provide a full scope of service to clients.
We are looking for a qualified individual with plenty of experience in residential construction and a passion for innovative design.
You will design and create structural solutions to common issues and impracticalities, managing the workflow from preliminary design through to development, execution and inspection.
You will bring your expert eye and sound structural engineering knowledge to client meetings and site inspections, with the ability to provide structural assessment/sign off on Steel Frames & Trusses design reports.
This is a full time, permanent role in a down-to-earth, dynamic team based in Woolston.
Our client is ready to take someone on immediately, but will wait a notice period for the right person.
