Structural Designer – Packaging

Ourcustomers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging productsto the dairy, horticulture, food, grocery, primary produce, and industrialsectors.Based at our Corrugated Case site in Mangere Bridge, Auckland, werequire a natural communicator who can engage well with others and solve issues,be a key part of our production process toensure a quality product is produced within budget and promised deadlines.Responsibilities:Liaise with clients to establish packaging design requirements,with a focus on innovative and cost-competitive solutions.Utilise your structural design skills with attention to detail anda quality outcome focus.Work with the Design Manager to focus on continuous improvement ofwork practices.Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.To be successful you will have thefollowing:Relevant tertiary qualification inPackaging/Design is advantageous.Advanced skills: ArtiosCAD, Kiwiplan(preferable), good knowledge of Office 365.Esko Web Center and Automation Engineexperience preferred.Ability to work independently tomake decisions when needed.Highly effective verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range ofinternal and external stakeholders.Strong desire to provide exceptional customerservice.Willingness to learn and develop new skills.5+years' experience with structuraldesign in a packaging environment.On offer is a competitive salary and numerous staff benefits includingSuperannuation Benefits Package (company contribution of 5%), life insurance, incomeprotection insurance, basic Southern Cross Medical Insurance, and on-site carparkingIn accordance with Company Policy the successful candidate will berequired to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, drug test and policecheck.
