Bidfood is a rapidly expanding & leading Food Distribution company in New Zealand. We have a rare and highly sort after opportunity to join our Route convenience sales team. As part of the Bidfood team your groceries including meat and vegetable can be purchased on your staff account at wholesale cost price.
The Role Full time position, Monday to Friday - Flexible, guaranteed 45 hours per week. No weekend work. Salary start rate $63,000pa + Commission Delivering globally renowned brands in Streets Ice-cream, Ben & Jerry's, Mrs. Macs and Dad's Pies to the Convenience channel. Class 2 NZ Driver's License is required Primary responsibilities: Deliver Global Ice Cream, beverage and food brands Set territory for you to manage and be proud of Maintain fantastic working relationships with customers in your territory Merchandise products into freezers Achieve set budgets To be successful, you must be able to work proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced and constantly evolving market. Whilst you will need to be a strong team player it will be your self-motived 'can do' attitude and great customer service that will drive your career forward.
The role spends 5 days a week calling on a wide range of convenience trade customers taking orders, merchandising and ensuring all point of sale material is displayed as it should be. You will also be required to key all your orders into our sales/warehouse management system. Your keen eye for detail and persuasive manner will be the winning formula here.
Key to your success will be building and maintaining relationships with your customers but the role will also provide exposure and ownership of project management for new product launch programs and identifying new sales opportunities.
