Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity
The Strategy Implementation Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the corporate strategy and operating model transformation programmes of work.
This includes creating a rolling three-year AT corporate strategy and business transformation implementation roadmap, identifying dependencies and risks, change management, managing milestones and project controls, facilitating integrated planning, and monitoring benefit realisation.
The Strategy Implementation Manager also plays a virtual leadership role, guiding key members of the corporate strategy and transformation programmes of work (sponsors, workstream leads, initiative owners etc) to successfully design and implement their programmes of work.
A typical day might include:
Develop, communicate and oversee implementation of the strategy delivery programme.
Provide leadership and guidance to workstream or initiative leads from across the business who may be leading a corporate strategy and operating model transformation initiative.
Lead and influence senior leaders including ELT, heads of business units, and leadership teams across AT, to ensure these stakeholders buy into the strategic change programme.
Design the strategy programme objectives and ensure that the investment tactics (selection & prioritisation of projects) align with those objectives.
Lead key forums that enable the integration and delivery of programme priorities such as cross functional forums with enabling functions.
Establish & manage effective governance and reporting of the programme.
Design and implement a robust stakeholder engagement plan.
Communicate all aspects of the programme including its vision, implementation plan, risks and benefits through standard reporting, briefings and large format mobilization.
Na tau rourou | What will you bring?
At least 15 years' experience in programme/project management in the areas of corporate strategy, business transformation or strategic change.
At least 7 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
Effective communication skills and the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline in Business, Management or Operations.
A Project Management qualification and knowledge of programme management principles, governance, and project controls.
