Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Manager to join our team in Paengaroa, Bay of Plenty. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the acquisition of goods and services essential for our global operations. You will play an integral role in driving efficiencies throughout Comvita's global supply chain by developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing and streamlining supplier relationships, identifying areas for cost reduction, whilst maintaining sustainable and ethical procurement practices.You will lead a small procurement team and report directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday with the flexibility to work from home, but we do ask that you come to site a few times a week to connect with the teams. We have recently opened newly refurbished offices with desks, collaboration spaces, lounge areas and a staff lunchroom to provide staff with energizing and calming spaces to work from when coming to site.Some of the duties include:Supplier Relationships : Cultivate strong and collaborative relationships with contract manufacturers/suppliers, explore opportunities for improvement, and help to forecast demand, plan production schedules and ensure adequate capacity.Global Service Delivery and Excellence : Manage risk within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, ensure compliance to relevant regulations/standards, and work closely with in-market teams to ensure successful delivery whilst integrating sustainable and CSR practices.Strategic Sourcing : Identify and analyze potential and current contract manufacturers/ suppliers, to drive value and understand the true cost in the long-game and bigger-picture.Negotiation : Have hard conversations and negotiations with contract manufacturers/suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain overall value while maintaining quality standards.Global Market Growth : Act as a problem solver, addressing challenges to support our growth, be the conduit between our global in-market teams and our team in Paengaroa, and nurture collaboration between multiple departments to support global market initiatives.About YouDegree qualified would be preferable.Significant (10+ years) experience in similar roles, enabling you to make and impact from day one.Previous experience within an FMCG/Manufacturing environment is desirable.Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.Solid understanding of supply chain principles, procurement best practices, and global market dynamics.Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsAbout UsWe are a leading global natural health company, committed to the development and manufacturing of innovative health and wellness products.
