Strategic Project Management Office Lead Leadership role managing a portfolio of strategic initiatives at the fastest growing University in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead our Strategic Project Management Office. This role is pivotal in driving the successful planning and execution of high-impact projects that align with our University's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in project management, capable of leading cross-functional teams and delivering results in a complex, academic and professional environment. To be successful in this role you will need to be delivery focused with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management and facilitating business change. Some key responsibilities of the role include: Strategic Project Management Office leadership - lead the SPMO to support priority strategic projects, along with coordination of the University's key planning activities. Programme and project management - projects are clearly scoped and delivered to budget, time and scope constraints, while achieving business objectives and meeting agreed project success criteria. Staff management - provide direction and leadership which enables staff to deliver business objectives. This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. The salary range is set at circa $130,000 per annum. To be successful in this role you will need: A relevant tertiary qualification, including qualifications in one or more project management methodologies Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager Significant experience with the public sector, or tertiary education sector is essential Current knowledge and working experience with best practice project management principles, techniques and tools (e.g. Gantt charts, Issue and Project tracking software) Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Experience with the development and execution of project communication plans Experience working with senior stakeholders in large corporates or public sector organizations, in the delivery of complex projects and decision support Superb communication skills, with the ability to influence and affect change at all levels of the business Excellent report writing skills, including business case writing A track record of successfully managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders Demonstrated commitment to Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values As an employee of Lincoln University, you can reap the rewards of working in a supportive organisation with a commitment to equal employment opportunity, diversity and inclusion.
