The Strategic Delivery Lead is crucial in supporting NZGP to convert strategy and policy into effective operational services that reflect the needs of the various service users.
Reporting to the Manager, Design, Discovery, and Change, the Strategic Delivery Lead will apply their expertise in organisational strategy and execution.
The Strategic Delivery Lead will work closely with the Senior Service Designer and in collaboration with the policy team to identify and frame strategic branch initiatives and support procurement strategy projects with key agencies.
The Strategic Delivery Lead role will be pivotal in the end-to-end delivery of strategic change in the branch and across the procurement system.
The role will be intimately connected with key policy initiatives and developing ideas into substantive business plans and a roadmap for delivery.
In addition to the specialist development and planning, the role will be key to the implementation and achievement of NZGP's outcomes.
This includes system wide prioritisation, management of key stakeholder and sector groups, ongoing continuous improvement, and benefit realisation.
This role is responsible for: * Framing and leading key projects across NZGP to achieve effective implementation of the NZGP strategic roadmap and operating model.
* Directing the strategy for the programme of work and commissioning the initiation, discovery and design phases for key strategic projects * Building enduring senior stakeholder relationships, managing stakeholder engagement throughout programmes of work and representing NZGP during strategic engagements.
* Defining and initiating key strategic projects including scoping and creating business cases.
* Providing accurate information and data on progress and performance of projects * Leading the development of strategic connections between our technology, process, people service and capabilities.
* Driving a collaborative culture bringing together teams or individuals from different Business Groups across NZGP to deliver outcomes for the procurement system.

* Experience working with complex stakeholder groups to drive alignment of strategy to implementation.
* Ability to work with mixed methodologies, inductive, deductive, and abductive problem-solving approaches.
* Excellent communication skills and strong facilitation skills.
* Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff, and other internal stakeholders.
* Ability to challenge the status quo, introduce new ways of looking at problems and adopt creative and new approaches.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement and discretion.

* Experience working in government useful but not essential.
