Join the movement and embark on a career that truly matters.About this roleAs the Strategic Advisor – Housing and Growth you will play a pivotal role in delivering on Council priorities and key strategies and plans to support housing supply and sustainable growth and development of Rotorua for current and future generations. This wide-ranging role involves everything from policy development to delivering projects that directly contribute to achieving positive housing outcomes for Rotorua. In this role you will:Lead and contribute to the development of housing and growth strategies and policy.Lead projects and initiatives that align with Council's housing and growth priorities.Conduct research on policy issues relevant to the organization and analyze data and legislative developments to inform Council's strategic direction.Prepare and present well-researched reports to Council.Collaborate with key stakeholders and central government partners to achieve housing outcomes for Rotorua.Skills and experienceTo succeed in this role, you will need:A tertiary qualification in business management, social/public policy, political science, law or other relevant discipline.3-5 years' experience in district development or property management or property law.High level technical competence in statutory and policy frameworks and policy writing/development.The ability to understand and apply legislation.Submit your application today and let's create extraordinary experiences together!
