Stores and Inventory ManagerWaipa Networks is looking for an experienced Stores and Inventory Manager to join our Commercial Team.Based out of our Te Awamutu depot, you'll play a crucial part in supporting our teams to keep the lights on in Waipa.If you are looking to take on a rewarding new challenge, our Stores and Inventory Manager role could be the perfect opportunity for you.The roleAs our Stores and Inventory Manager, you'll manage our inventory operations, ensuring the seamless flow of materials and supplies to keep our infrastructure running efficiently.You'll lead a dedicated team to streamline our operational planning processes, optimise our inventory, and implement innovative solutions to maintain accuracy, minimise costs and remove waste to ensure a reliable and consistent power supply to our district.Key responsibilitiesYou'll lead a small team providing direction, coaching and support to your team members.Liaise with other teams to ensure appropriate forward planning of supplies in line with workflow requirements.Undertake inventory control and quality management including inventory cycle counting.Manage the Stores budget.Ensure that appropriate health and safety standards are in place and maintained in the store and yard.About youYou'll be a seasoned distribution centre, stores or logistics manager with a minimum of three years experience in stores and purchasing management.As the successful candidate, you'll hold an F-Endorsement (forklift licence), be proficient in Excel and have previous exposure to warehouse management systems.Due to our ongoing focus on improving processes, reducing waste and ensuring consistent quality, Six Sigma and/or Lean certifications would be highly regarded.
