We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Stores and Inventory Coordinator to join our Operations team, reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager. The purpose of the maintenance function is to maximize equipment availability, extend equipment life, and enable cost-effective maintenance. The Stores and Inventory Coordinator is to ensure parts are procured, stored, and effectively managed whilst ensuring equipment runs cost-effectively with minimal downtime. Job tasks and responsibilities Maintenance and Inventory Management: Eliminate maintenance and breakdown-related losses at the lowest cost. Ensure accurate and up-to-date equipment master data in CMMS. Improve stores and inventory processes, including managing the rotatable parts program and parts staging area. Coordinate urgent parts procurement and manage the consumables process. Maintain inventory levels, identify and rectify stock anomalies, and update the parts catalogue. Technical and Quality Mastery: Apply technical skills to meet plant needs and integrate business processes with suppliers and customers. Ensure parts received are defect-free and align with ordered quantities. Support quality processes, including the 6S process and parts certification updates. Customer Service and Collaboration: Collaborate with maintenance planners to improve part DIFTOS. Assist with chemical handling and decanting when required. Maintain effective communication and relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and team members. Train and support staff in correct parts management processes. Financial and Procurement Management: Support the Maintenance and Engineering Manager in managing the maintenance budget. Control day-to-day spending and process invoices promptly. Raise capex requests and collaborate with procurement to achieve cost savings on parts. Planning and Coordination: Manage procurement and stores to minimize stock outages and update lead times in relevant systems. Arrange freight and courier deliveries efficiently. Contractor and Tool Management: Train and educate contractors on tools, parts, and chemical management policies. Manage tool certification, test and tag processes, and tool replacement. Conduct inventory audits and prepare reports for management. Team and Safety Leadership: Maintain harmonious team relations and uphold health and safety standards. Model positive behavior and ensure high personal standards of integrity and respect. Minimum Requirements: Trade, diploma, or 5+ years' experience in manufacturing (preferably in food or dairy). Parts procurement and working in CMMS. Leading and implementing asset care. Continuous process improvement. Integrating new technology and leading practices. Quick assessment and decisive action. Coaching, consulting, and assertiveness. Technical knowledge of Dairyworks operations. Collaborative teamwork and adaptability. Prioritization, delegation, and stakeholder management. Strong communication, analytical, and financial modeling skills. Resilience under pressure and meeting deadlines. Interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
