Warehousing, Storage & Distribution (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Storeman, who aligns with our core values to join our team at Urban Group (NZ) Ltd in Christchurch. This is a full-time role responsible for the efficient and organised management of our warehouse and inventory. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in warehouse operations, logistics, product dispatch, stock control, along with strong computer skills.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management & Stock Control: Receive, store, and manage stock within the warehouse. Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, stored in the right locations, and kept organized for easy access.Product Dispatch: Pick and pack customer orders efficiently and accurately. Prepare items for shipment and arrange timely dispatch to meet customer deadlines.Logistics Coordination: Assist in coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries, ensuring proper handling and tracking of goods. Liaise with drivers and transport teams to ensure timely delivery.Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse tidy, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, aisles, and equipment.Safety Compliance: Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. Follow all safety procedures when handling products, equipment, and machinery.Computer Systems & Reporting: Use warehouse management systems to track inventory, process orders, and update stock levels. Generate reports and assist in maintaining accurate records.Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the warehouse and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and contribute to overall team success.Customer Service Support: Assist with trade desk customer sales as required.Our Core Values:Customer First: We go above and beyond for our clients, taking proactive action to meet their needs.
