About the role
Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Store Person to work on our DCWW WNA contract in South Wales .
As the Store Person you will be part of our Store Department who are responsible for supplying fittings, PPE, small tools etc to our 3 Work Streams .
Morrison Water Services is a proud partner on the Water Network Alliance contract with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water. Our work includes Repair and Maintenance of clean water network assets, new water mains connections, metering, zonal water cleansing and mains renewal.
As the Store Person your duties & responsibilities will be:
Maintain and encourage a positive Health and Safety Culture.
Carry out all on site risk assessments.
Ensure job cards and timesheets are completed accurately and on time.
Liaising with stakeholders on a day to day basis.
Checking incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
Checking and storing off hired equipment.
Maintain stock levels in all yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts.
Cleaning and preparing equipment.
Vigilance to prevent loss of product by theft etc. and reporting any H&S issues to the Line Manager immediately.
Standby Duties
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Full driving licence. This is essential.
Good IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge and use of SAP an advantage
Strong problem solving capabilities
Ability to work within H&S legislation
Work to tight timescales and priorities work efficiently
Act calmly and rationally in a pressurized environment
Forklift / Telehandler licence. This is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of Water fittings and the water industry
Additional Information
You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
Van for business use only will be provided to support undertaking role.
