We are proud to offer our customers a shopping experience like no other in New Zealand's largest hardware retail store; Mitre 10 MEGA Albany as well as New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa and Silverdale, boast Columbus Coffee shops. We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.About the jobThis is an on-site role based in New Lynn, offering a competitivesalary, a company vehicle, a generous staff purchase scheme, and a range ofother employee benefits.About the roleReporting to the Chief Retail Operations Officer, you will beresponsible for the overall success and growth of the New Lynn store. Thisincludes delivering the store's business strategy and executing the visionaccordingly. You will lead by example, fostering a customer-centric culture andinspiring your team to provide exceptional shopping experiences. Additionally,you will focus on building and maintaining a high-performance team.What will you bring?Extensive Experience: Over 5 years ofsenior-level experience in a big-box or large-format retail environment,ideally within the home improvement sector. Your extensive background inleading large teams and a sound understanding of merchandising and retaildesign are essential.Commercial Acumen: A seasoned retailprofessional focused on achieving business goals, you excel in all aspects ofstore operations, including sales, financials, HR, health and safety,marketing, customer experience, merchandising standards, stock integrity, pointof sale, security, and administration.Proven Track Record: Demonstratedsuccess in meeting and exceeding sales and profit targets. You engage,motivate, develop, and lead large teams effectively, fostering a positive anddynamic work environment.Legislative Knowledge: A solidunderstanding of New Zealand's health and safety and employment legislation.Your positive and engaging communication style enhances team collaboration andcustomer relations.Passion andDevelopment:Passionate about our products and customers, you value the growth anddevelopment of your team members.
