Job Title: Stock Controller
Reports to: Finance Manager
Reporting positions: Inwards Goods Controller, Warehouse Assistants

Purpose of the Job The Stock Controller is part of the Finance, Planning, and Resources team.
The purpose is to ensure that BSNZ provides excellent service to customers by managing the prompt and accurate importing, receipting, storing, and distribution of goods for selling and granting.
The Stock Controller also leads the warehouse team and ensures safe warehouse and distribution practices.

Key responsibilities and outcomes Lead the warehousing and distribution function:Develop and implement practices, policies, and processes that support effective warehouse and distribution operations.Develop, implement, monitor, and review qualitative and quantitative service-level benchmarks.Develop, implement, monitor, and review policies and practices to provide a safe work environment.Ensure processes and practices are documented and easily accessible.Coordinate shipment of inwards goods:Manage relationships with freight forwarding service providers.Track status of stock-in-transit.Lead and manage receipting of inwards goods:With the Inwards Goods Controller, develop systems and processes to receive inwards goods.Oversee and monitor inwards goods processing.Lead and manage warehousing of inventory:Review and, as required, develop, implement, and monitor SKU location processes.Review and, as required, develop, implement, and monitor processes that minimize stock damage and maximize stock value.Lead and manage picking, packing, and dispatch of orders:Review and, if required, develop, implement, and monitor processes to pick, pack, and dispatch customer and grant orders.Support stock costing and stock evaluations:With the Finance Manager, assess and maintain records of stock valuations.Manage warehousing and inventory information systems:Review and recommend improvements to systems.Lead, manage, and develop reporting personnel:Plan and budget for year-cycle personnel requirements for warehousing and distribution activities.Support values and health and safety management:Demonstrate BSNZ's values in all interactions.4.
Key relationships Internal: Procurement Group members, Retail, e-Commerce, and Customer Experience Lead, Store Managers, Customer Experience Representatives, Finance Team Members.External: Shipping agency representatives, Freight and courier company representatives, Packaging consumables vendor representatives, System vendor and support representatives.5.
Authorities Financial: Budgeted expenditure as per annual budget; Unbudgeted expenditure with Finance Manager approval.
Personnel: Full supervision responsibilities for reporting personnel; Employment responsibilities within delegations.

Person specification Qualifications: On-road forklift license or able to obtain (Essential), Supply chain management certificate (Desirable).Knowledge and experience: Principles of inventory management, storage and control (Essential), Safe use of warehousing equipment (Essential), Health and safety at work principles (Essential), Inventory and order fulfilment systems (Essential).7.
Normal work: 40 hours per week worked between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday unless otherwise agreed with the manager.
The employee may be asked to work additional hours or to work outside these hours from time to time.
Normal place of work: 6A Kellow Place, Wiri, Auckland.
The employee may be required to work elsewhere from time to time and the employer may vary the place of work provided the variation is reasonable.
