Southern Cross Healthcare – Christchurch, South Island Southern Cross Christchurch Hospital is the largest hospital within Southern Cross Healthcare's national network. The Christchurch hospital campus has seen significant upgrades and new facilities in recent years, and typically provides services to around 9,500 patients each year. Facilities include digital operating theatres, systems for robotically assisted surgery, advanced digital scanning technologies, consulting facilities and a purpose-built endoscopy centre. We are looking for a Sterile Services Technician to join our Christchurch team. We have either a full-time position or a part-time position available, for the right candidate. You will be required to provide, as part of the theatre team, a high standard of sterilising service consisting of the decontamination, inspection, testing, assembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices. This specifically involves the reprocessing of contaminated sets of surgical instruments, accessories and other related equipment used within our operating theatres.
