Job Title:   Steel Fixers   Job Location/Region:   Canterbury NZ / Ashburton   Number of positions for this Job: 5   Employment type:   Permanent    Days required:   Mondays to Fridays and Saturday roster (excluding holidays)    Hours per week:   40 hours per week minimum    Hourly rate or Salary Band: $29-31 per hour depending on experience. Start $29.70   Job Description:   We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Fixers and Metal Workers to join our dynamic team. As a Steel Fixer and Metal Worker you will be responsible for fabricating bundles assembling and repairing steel tires and metal components. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.    Responsibilities:   Fabricate metal packaging using steel rods for metal components according to specifications and blueprints for export. Hydraulic Compression. Accurate processing of metals Using Hand or Power tools to cut and bend bars mesh and other metal products. Disassemble / Assemble and weld metal parts using various techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding  Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet industry standards for export Collaborate with team members to optimise processing and improve efficiency  Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment    Job Prerequisites   ·       Previous experience as a Steel Fixer and Metals handler. Minimum 2years experience Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding  Gas Cutting Strong knowledge of metal products (steel) and metalworking processes  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings  Excellent attention to detail Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team  Valid certifications in welding and metalworking are preferred    We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for career growth within the workforce.
