Te turanga - The role
The Statistical Analyst, Data Development reports to the Data Development Manager in the Data, Statistics & Analytics department. The Statistical Analyst will be supported by a team of experienced staff to use their expertise in statistical frameworks, tools, and methods to support data initiatives that will better enable data-driven decision-making at the Bank.
The data we work with comes from a range of sources, in the form of aggregated survey collections or more granular datasets - each requiring different tools to design, build, and utilize them well.
While our journey to the new data landscape is in transition, this is a perfect time to get involved and play an influential part in how our future systems and tools will function. You will spend some hands-on time learning our current systems (including FSIS), which will give you the knowledge to be involved in future-focused discussions and work to improve our processes in the short, medium, and longer term.
In addition to contributing to specific projects, the Statistical Analyst will be supported to own their own small projects, develop leadership skills, and manage relationships across the organisation.
The Statistical Analyst Data Development is expected to collaborate effectively within and across departments to achieve the RBNZ's objectives and drive initiatives to transform processes and obtain more value from data and statistics.
