The role of Frontline Station Support Officer is to provide customer service for our Front Counter based at the Rotorua Police Station. Every day you will be dealing with challenging situations which will need to be approached with professionalism, respect, empathy and in a positive manner. You will be welcoming customers into the station and ensuring their enquiries are understood and handled appropriately.
The role requires someone with excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude.
The role of a Frontline Station Support Officer provides operational and administrational support to Police which includes but is not limited to, front counter customer service, data entry, use of Police systems, typing and file management.
Key Accountabilities:
Dealing with challenging circumstances in a customer services environment
Managing challenging situations involving members of the public in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner.
Recording of complaints from members of the public, answering general inquiries and performing reception duties such managing contractor / visitor access.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Available to work on Weekends and Public Holidays on request
