Job Description: As a hands-on Technical Product Manager, you will coordinate efforts from resources in multiple locations (domestic and/or international) to meet technology and product goals.
You will play a central role in managing and transforming a complex ecosystem of applications that mix legacy and cloud-native technologies.
You will be agile, adaptable, and retrospective.
You will not be afraid to identify what we are doing wrong so we can fix it and what we are doing right so we can improve on it.
Job Duties: Authorize product iterations, approve designs and cost estimates for iterations, set priorities, and participate in long-range planning.
Responsible for ensuring schedules and performance standards are attained.
Participate in more critical day-to-day operational issues, remove barriers, and resolve issues.
Meet with business team members periodically to review issues/backlog and gather the requirements to create solutions.
Responsible for troubleshooting complex integration problems and identifying solutions within broad application and functional expertise.
Interface with our product, operations, technical, and client services teams to drive the direction of systems integrations.
Empower team members and drive operational excellence and high quality.
Job Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
4+ years of experience in software development.
Proven ability to self-manage and drive results (organize, prioritize, manage time, and focus).
Solid fundamentals in end-to-end application architecture for customer-facing and internal applications.
Experience with cloud native ecosystems as well as legacy systems.
Excellent communication skills are required to translate business needs into technical terms.
Ability to influence decision-making across a variety of roles and levels in the organization.
Proven record to handle multiple complex initiatives and deliver quality results.
Demonstrated understanding of how to create value through enterprise technology, data, and application architecture principles.
Positive client engagement at senior levels, managing and navigating with peers and business line leaders.
Customer-oriented: meets individual commitments, works with the team to achieve team commitments, responds to requests promptly, and is willing to help.
Nice to Haves: Experience in helping to design and implement large-scale application architectures.
Experience applying XP and TDD to existing applications.
