Key Roles and Responsibilities:Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.Perform hands-on installation and maintenance tasks on network components such as routers, switches, and cables.Monitor network activity and configure network systems using complex computer softwarePerforming disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.Coordinating computer network access and use.Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardwareAbility to think through problems and visualize solutionsAbility to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, controllersKnowledge of application and network infrastructure protocolsAbility to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systemsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAcademic Qualifications and Certifications:Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus.Relevant certifications, e.g. ITILCCIE (Cisco), CCNP (Cisco), JNCIE-ENT (Juniper), Network+ (CompTIA), WCNA (Wireshark)Required Experience:Demonstrated experience working in a networking environmentExperience with network securityWAN and LAN experienceExperience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN designWhat will make you a good fit for the role?Expert level knowledge on Routing & Switching TechnologyMinimum 9 to 12 years of experience in Network domain• Should have any of the following certifications like CCNP, CCIE or JNCIS, JNCIP or JNCIE or any equivalent.• Min 9 to 12 years of experience in Network technology.• Strong hands-on experience on cisco switches, Routers, Meraki devices and knowledge on SD-WAN will be added advantage.• Good knowledge on Juniper, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls • Hands-on experience with Juniper SRX troubleshooting and implementation of NAT, policies and new Tunnels will be added advantage.• Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting issues related to Nexus 5k, 7k and 9K series.• Expert Knowledge on Routers like Cisco series like ,, ASR and Juniper M/T series.• Good Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with MPLS.• Providing Hands and feet support for replacing Network Hardware in case of failures and up-gradation. • Co-ordinating with ISP vendors in case of link failures. • Documentation of Known error database and Knowledge Sharing to Team.
